Our deepest condolences: Michael Elias Eurchuk
It is with our deepest sympathies that we celebrate the life of Michael Elias Eurchuk, or Mike, on October 30, 2026, from 1 to 4:30 p.m. at Hainstock's Funeral Home.
Mike was a founding member of Friends of the World Cup of Wrestling (FWCWS) and chaired the Organizing Committee for the 1982 World Championships in Edmonton. He was also a proud recipient of a FILA Gold Star.
Mike holds multiple other honors, such as being a member of the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame, Wrestling Canada Hall of Fame as a builder and the last Alberta official to referee at an Olympic Games. He refereed at national and international events while serving as an official from 1967 to 1984, and served as President of the Official Associations for five years.
We extend our condolences from FWCWS to his family, friends, and all who knew him in his communities.
